OGCDC's Early Education for young children with development delay and intellectual disabilities started in March, 2003, when it was realized that these children would not be likely to benefit from normal schooling without prior special assistance to improve their conditions. The seven teachers from the visitors. We have conducted the assessment of 14 young children, aged 0 - 6 years, and designed individual home training programs that will be performed by the parents at home. The home visitors will visit the families once a week to assist and support the parents and monitor the children's progress.

The current program is funded by DED (German Development Service). Since the project is running successfully we are planning to establish a permanent program with long-term funding from other organizations.
