Based on cooperation between DED, the Pre-School department (Hue University of Pedagogy) and OGCDC, we have jointly organized the training course on “Utilizing the Montessori method in inclusive education at kindergarten”. The first course was from 13 to 16/04/2010 for lecturers of Pre-school, psychology and primary school department of Hue University of Pedagogy and Hue College of Pedagogy. The second course was from 19 to 22/04/2010 for the managers and kindergarten teachers in Thua Thien Hue. The Montessori Method includes content like: philosophical basis, the importance of freedom and choice, the areas of education of Montessori, setting up an educative environment for children with disabilities, introducing and making specialized equipments. This is for the trainees to apply effectively this method not only for all children and disabled children but also for improving their teaching methods. Particularly, the joining of classes at Future school helps trainees to have a general view on applying the Montessori Method in teaching. Applying the Montessori Method in kindergarten education helps the children utilize their potential, build their independence and curiosity and acquire good habits to create a solid base for the development of their characters.
