On 10/5/2010, OGCDC cooperated with Children of Vietnam (COV) to organized the training course “Evaluation and intervention for children with disabilities in the community” for the collaborators of COV (currently working in the women union, red cross, Labor department, Health department, special schools, center for victims of agent orange, COV…) in Ngu Hanh Son district and Hai Chau district in Da Nang. The training course has supplied the collaborators with the skills of assessing and evaluating the abilities development of the children with disabilities, they know to cooperate of the family and focus on the changes in attitudes and behaviors of the family in taking care and instructing the children with disabilities at home. On that basis, the collaborators will flexibly apply the skills to counsel, plan with the family and have suitable interventions for different cases.
